XAMPP is a lightweight and completely free open source platform.
It is the most popular PHP development package which was developed by Apache Friends.
It is easy to install Apache distribution for Linux, Solaris, Windows, and Mac OSX containing, MariaDB, Perl, PHP, phpMyAdmin and an FTP server.
XAMPP can work on Linux, windows, and mac equally, therefore it is also called a cross-platform.
Here is the full form of XAMPP:
X = Cross-Platform
A = Apache
M = MariaDB / MySQL
P = PHP
P = Perl
Sometimes, we start Apache service and it shows an error of ‘Port 443 in use; Error: Apache shutdown unexpectedly’. XAMPP Says: –
These are the following steps and solution to avoid this error of Apache service: –
Step:1> Click ‘Config’ within the Apache service row.
Step:2> Within ‘Config’ section click “Apache (httpd-ssl.conf)“.
Step:3> You can see a notepad file ‘httpd-ssl.conf’.
Press ‘Ctrl + F’ and type “443” within the input box.
Step:4> If you find the Port number “443” then Change it to “4430” or any port number which is not working and processing in your local system.
Step:5> Save your notepad file then ‘Quit’ XAMPP.
Step:6> Start your ‘XAMPP’. Now, you can see that it is working.
